There are many persons who blame their kids for the parenting problems that they face. People often underestimate the difficulties involved in parenting. They presume that they can easily handle kids. They work on the presumption that the first five years is the most difficult where the kid has to be taken care of twenty four hours a day.
Such parents often fail to realize that the first five years happen to be the easiest because feeding, cleaning and taking care of an infant is not as complicated as are making a young teenager listen to sense.
In such a scenario, the importance of setting the right example in front of kids cannot be over exaggerated. Many persons presume that they are setting a good example just because they have so many good qualities. Such persons always carry out the most beneficial self analysis possible. They then proceed to blame kids for doing a bad job and accuse the child of not being up to the mark.
Remember, parents happen to be the first teachers of children. From basic table manners to socialization skills – the child absorbs numerous lessons, consciously or subconsciously, from the parent. In such a scenario, you cannot claim that you had no role in creating the flaws present in the child.
Many parents realize that they are not setting the right example. However, they simply conclude that it is too late and proceed ahead. Such a mistake can complicate matters further. If you show the ability to learn your mistakes and rectify the same, you will be setting a very good example in front of your child. You will be telling your child that is acceptable to make mistakes as long as you have the sense and courage to accept the same and tackle it.
